My Dead Heroes has been quiet for the Holiday season but like you we took some time off to hang with the family and play our favorite video games. I spent the majority of my time in two games Skyrim and Bastion. I’m currently sitting at 150+ hours of game time in Skyrim since Thanksgiving. It has pretty much consumed my gaming time but thankfully Bastion came along to save the day. I picked it up on a whim during the Steam holiday sales event and fell in love while it immediately. After a few minutes of play, I bought it for friends and family as Christmas gifts. It’s that good. This indie game has silky smooth gameplay, beautiful artwork and dynamic narrative. The narration changes according to your actions. It reacts to what you’re doing to as you are doing it in the game. Dynamic narration doesn’t make this game but it is a neat feature. The game has a very high production value and was well worth my dollars to buy. If it could pull me away from Skyrim for short bits that should tell you something. Great story, incredible soundtrack, interesting levels, fun weapon challenges and more. I could gush all day but I’ll spare you…just go play the demo.
I’ve taken a break from Warcraft but I’m beginning to feel the pull of Azeroth again. Leveling sounds like a fun endeavor and I have several alt projects waiting for my return. We’ll be getting back to into the swing of things around here soon. Drop us a line and tell us what you enjoy seeing on the sight. I have one reader talk about wanting more free to play which we do a lot of. We enjoy feedback and constructive criticism.
Happy New Years! We look forward to serving you better in 2012.
